The concert “Gevgelija Musical Talents” was held at the Apollonia Hotel. The audience had the opportunity to hear young musicians, former students of the Vaso Karajanov Music Academy – Gevgelija, who today continue to improve their skills in secondary music schools and faculties across the country.
The performance was opened by Victoria Karakabakova, who brought “Sarabande” by Johann Sebastian Bach and “Pizzicato Polka” by Leo Delibes with her violin.
Sanja Milenkovic, on the piano, conveyed the depth and complexity of Sergei Rachmaninoff’s “Prelude in D minor”, as well as the virtuoso lines of Frédéric Chopin’s “Etude opus 25 no. 5”. Violinist Emilia Nikolovska performed the first movement of Felix Mendelssohn’s Violin Concerto.
Ljubica Uliš performed the first movement of Muzio Clementi’s “Sonata” on the piano, Sofia Jakimova interpreted “Elegy” by D. Džakonovski-Špato, while Mimi Duceva performed “Nocturne Opus 9 No. 1” by Frédéric Chopin, “Dumka Opus 59” by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky and “Etude-Silvia Opus 39 No. 5” by Sergei Rachmaninoff on the piano.
The event was organized by the ZG “Musical Moments” as part of the activities to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Association and active work in the affirmation of the musical activity, with support from the Municipality of Gevgelija as part of the Program for Cultural Activities for 2025 and the event “City of Culture for 2025”.
