Shuklev and Nikolov, accompanied by a diplomatic entourage, plant the national flag wherever they go, signifying our presence in eternity.
Their Renault 4 was left waiting for the tandem in Mongolia. In these photos we see it accompanied by the Bactrian camel (different from the domesticated one), an endangered species that lives only in protected areas of northwestern China and southwestern Mongolia. This animal is a miracle of endurance in extreme temperatures, it can drink 60 liters of water at once and go without it for almost a week.
The number of these beautiful animals is around 1400 specimens and thanks to the photographs provided by Shuklev and Nikolov, we are witnessing a true rarity.

The coincidence of rarities opens up thoughts about eternal questions. Does a species, a model, a people really become extinct? Is there such a thing as evolution and what do we mean by progress? Does the new destroy the old or does it only fulfill and transform it? We maintain the old and strive for something new, and when the new becomes obsolete, we return to the old to start over.
Once upon a time, people traveled by camel, today we travel by airplanes and bullet trains, cars and motorbikes, and sometimes even by old-timers. Although the means and ways in which we discover change, the desire to travel, to go somewhere, remains. But where exactly and why? Discovering the true purpose of this journey called life is perhaps the only thing a person should ask themselves.
