With great respect for the musical heritage and in the spirit of the upcoming holidays, Gina Papas Joxi, Dragan Spasov Dac and Aleksandar Mitevski present the new version of the legendary song “On Easter I Fell in Love”.
This remake comes as a musical greeting for the Easter holidays, bringing fresh energy and a modern sound, while retaining the recognizable emotion of the original. The project was realized with a lot of attention and love from the creative team, in order for the song to reach the audience again – both among the older generations, but also among the young audience.
The idea for a collaboration between these three artists had existed for years, and this holiday season was the right moment to realize it.
In the new version, the vocals are performed by Dzoxi, Aleksandar Mitevski and Dac, while the production is signed by Aleksandar Mitevski. The additional verse is the work of Ognen Nedelkovski, giving the song a new dimension, while remaining true to its original emotion.
The original composition “On Easter (On Easter I Fell in Love)” dates from 1991 and is the author’s work of Gina Pappas Joxi, who wrote both the music and the lyrics. The arrangement of the original version is by Toshe Popsimonov.
The promotion of the new version will culminate tonight at the “Urban Stories” event in Tribeca Park, where Joxi will perform as a special guest along with Daz and Aleksandar. The audience will have the opportunity to hear this performance live, which is already generating great interest.
The new version represents a blend of tradition and contemporary musical expression, with a clear message – love and music remain eternal values, especially on the eve of the great Christian holiday of Easter .
